SimpleFi is built on a simple premise: your financial data is yours. We don't sell it, we don't link your bank accounts, and we don't use it to target you with ads. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
SimpleFi collects only what you give us directly — your email or phone number for authentication, the financial account names and balances you enter during onboarding, and the daily log entries you create. We also collect basic usage metadata (session timestamps, streak counts) to operate the app.
What we don't collect
We do not link to your bank or financial institution accounts. We do not collect account numbers, routing numbers, or any credentials for external services. We do not run analytics or tracking scripts that follow you around the web.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide the SimpleFi service — to show you your financial snapshot, calculate trends, maintain streaks, and adapt the app to your emotional state. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
Data storage
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in the United States. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Authentication uses magic links — no passwords stored.
Third-party services
SimpleFi uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Netlify — hosting and serverless functions
- Resend — transactional email (magic links)
- Stripe — payment processing (subscription billing)
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We share only what's necessary for each to function (e.g., your email address with Resend to send a login link).
Your rights
You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes all personally identifiable information from our systems within 30 days.
